BACKGROUND
I‘m Scott, NetApp’s Senior Manager for the VMware Ecosystem Organization where I lead a team of Technical Marketing/Solutions Engineers.  I live in Cary, NC and do my best to balance work/home life with my creative/type-a nature.
Since 1989, I’ve been involved in IT–as a software engineer, solutions development, architectural designs, user-interfaces, and as of late storage + server virtualization.

I intend to use this blog for two specific purposes: researching the business and technical aspects of server virtualization and identify the economic value and impact the features have on the market as a whole, and explore the impacts that technical marketing has on the industry at large.

I strive to provide an unbiased and thoroughly analyzed view on each of these topics and enlist your support to keep me honest.

 My BeliefI love this quote because it reminds me to stop and remember that we all have a limited amount of time on this planet. The fact that the time you took to read this “About Page” is time you will never get back is what reminds me that whatever I invest in, it better be worth my the life I am spending on it.
